The candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the 2016 Governorship Election in Edo State, Earl Osaro Onaiwu has called on Muslims in the State to pray for the emancipation of Edo State from the scourge of bad leadership that has affected its progress since 1999.
The governorship candidate made the call in a Sallah message signed by one of his media aides, Christopher Okagbare to mark this year’s Eid-El-Kabir celebraions across the state.

The Director General of the Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum (PDPGF), Earl Osaro Onaiwu, who resigned his appointment on Monday, has joined the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
Onaiwu, who picked APGA’s expression of interest and nomination forms on Tuesday, said he decided to change his tent because “APGA doesn’t have scandal.‎ PDP ruled Edo State between1999 and 2007. APC is the party in government and the people of Edo are now saying ‘don’t take us back to Egypt.’”

BUHARI, KWANKWASO IN CLOSED-DOOR MEETING...READ IT ALL ON TAFIA WORLD

A former governor of Kano State, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, on Friday visited President Muhammadu Buhari at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Buhari and Kwankwaso held a closed-door meeting inside the president's office.

This was after they had joined other Muslim faithful in observing jumaat prayer at the State House mosque.

Our correspondent reports that this was about the first time Kwankwaso would hold such a private meeting with President Buhari in Aso Rock.

There was no official communication from the Presidency on what Buhari and Kwankwaso discussed.

SUSPEND MINISTERS ACUSSED OF CURRUPTION, PDP TELLS BUHARI...READ IT ALL ON TAFIA WORD

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to emulate the judiciary by asking ministers accused of corruption to step aside for proper investigation.

The party made the call in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Mr Dayo Adeyeye, on Friday in Abuja.

Adeyeye recalled that the National Judicial Council (NJC) had on Thursday announced its decision to suspend justices facing corruption charges.

The justices are Sylvester Ngwuta and Inyang Okoro of the Supreme Court, Mohammed Tsamiya, Presiding Justice of the Court of Appeal, Ilorin Division and Kabiru Auta of Kano State High Court.
