Wizkid and Linda Ikeji’s war of words continues read it all on tafia

The ongoing social media war of words between celebrity blogger; Linda Ikeji and Star singer; Wizkid which started a few months ago seems to have gotten bloodier in the last week as the duo exchanged bitter words on social media on Sunday.
On Sunday, Linda posted on Instagram that Wizkid had received quit notice from the Landlady of the Lekki home he claimed to have bought. She also claimed that his Porsche was bought on hire purchase, and that he was over the 25 years he claims to be. In her Instagram post, the popular blogger said, “So my darling little “friend” Wizkid went on my IG page this morning to blast me for writing that he was given quit notice at the Lekki home he claimed he bought some years ago, which he actually rented. Oh, and by the way did I mention that his Porsche car is also on hire purchase? And no darling, you are not 25, we know your real age.”
Incensed, the Ojuelegba crooner also took to Instagram to refute her claim. Going for the jugular, the Star boy called Linda names, using a lot of profanity, and made derogatory statements about her lady parts. Calling the thirty something year old super rich spinster “a sad old spinster at almost forty” and that she had not made the kind of impact he had when she was his age. He also bragged that he was willing to take her on to work for him in his foundation’s ongoing project to send over 1000 children to school, saying, “You and your laptop will stay married for life.”
Wizkid then said his director left Ikeji at the hotel when he slept with her. In the same post he continued, “I googled Linda at 25 and found nothing. You wish you had all I have at 25!”
Consequently, the imbroglio has led to fans and concerned Nigerians showing interest in the war between the two celebrities, pitching their supporters into two camps; for and against each of the duo. Others have come out to state that their behaviour is less than that required of their statuses as public figures, and role models.

Celebrity blogger, Linda Ikeji released a statement on Monday after meeting with StarBoy CEO, Wizkid with the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Oweseni over their longstanding feud. Read Ikeji’s full statement: So, I am going to write about this Wizkid matter for the very last time. Anything else after this will no longer concern me. So Wizkid and I met with the Commissioner of Police today and when the Commissioner asked me what I wanted them to do with the case… I told him that I wanted peace. And the reason why I insisted on peace and not to drag the matter further i.e go to court, is because Wizkid and his lawyers have been apologizing since Friday, up until today! I see a lot of negativity has come out of this case with Wizkid – with many folks bashing me for reporting a threat on my person. But here’s my consolation and why I am glad this happened. I promise you, especially the ladies, Wizkid will never threaten you with harm again. At least not in public. I believe I am the last bus stop. He will think twice before threatening another human being again on social media. A police file has been opened for him, and he has been cautioned. The day he threatens another human being again with harm, then… Having said that, I turned down taking a photo with him and the police commissioner this afternoon. One of his people took a pic of him and the commissioner with me in it and my people insisted they delete it. Not because I haven’t forgiven him, I just don’t need the extra drama. I wish Wizkid all the best and will continue to celebrate him. God bless us all.

‘Dog Whisperer’ Cesar Millan Engaged to Girlfriend Jahira Dar

 

Cesar Millan will have more than man’s best friend to keep him company from now on.
The former Dog Whisperer star is engaged to longtime girlfriend Jahira Dar.
Millan shared the news on Instagram before speaking to People with all the details of his March 24th proposal.
“After six amazing years together, I am so happy I asked her to be my wife. Thankfully, she said ‘yes’!” the 46-year-old told the magazine. “My pack is complete!”
He popped the question with a surprise trip to Athens back in March.
The duo were having dinner overlooking the Acropolis, when Millan asked the fashion stylist to marry him as a violinist played a romantic song in the background.

“I wanted the proposal to be special and to surprise her, so I spent months planning our trip to Greece,” he said. “I am still proud of myself that I never gave it away!”

Prince Had No Will, Bank to Oversee His $250 Million Estate

 

A Minnesota judge has confirmed that Prince did not have a legally binding will to distribute his estimated $250 million estate, reported People.
On Wednesday, the judge put Bremer Bank in charge of overseeing the late singer’s business and personal finances.
Prince had a working relationship with Bremer Bank as they handled his money while he was still alive.
According to court documents, The Bremer Trust will “preserve the estate and to secure its proper administration until a general Personal Representative is appointed by the Registrar or by the Court.”
The trust will be responsible for rounding up all of Prince’s heirs, which include his sister Tyka Nelson and five other half-siblings.

Prince was unmarried at the time of his death and had no living children.
So far there hasn’t been any family drama, but let’s hope things don’t get ugly.

Nick Gordon Opens Up About the Night Bobbi Kristina Drowned

Nick Gordon has broken his silence about the night girlfriend Bobbi Kristina Brown was found passed out in her bathtub.
In an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail, the 25-year-old said Whitney Houston‘s daughter was “messed up” when he arrived to her home at 4am on the morning of January 31, 2015.
“I thought she had just been drinking, maybe smoked a little,” he recounted to the British newspaper. “She was upset, we got into a little argument and then we made up and went upstairs and lay on the bed for about 45 minutes and did what adults do.”
Later that morning an Xfinity cable guy came to the home to fix some issues Bobbi Kristina was having and that’s when they found her unresponsive.
Nick says he dropped to his knees and immediately performed CPR. He believed she was turning a corner after Bobbi Kristina began to spit up water. She was transported to a hospital, where she was put in a medically induced coma after her brain function was “significantly diminished.”
Bobbi Kristina passed away six months later on July 26th at the age of 22.
While her family believes Nick was the cause of her substance abuse issues, he claims “she had problems long before I came on the scene.”
Despite their problems, Nick and Bobbi tried to start a family but suffered “a couple of miscarriages.”

Reveals Senate president made numerous lodgments in banks

 

 

The Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) sitting in Abuja was informed wednesday of how Senate President Bukola Saraki continued to get paid his salary by the Kwara State Government after he had stepped down as the governor of the state on May 29, 2011.

Details were also laid bare on the numerous lodgments and transfers made by Saraki and his aide during his tenure as governor of the state, with some occurring several times in one day.

However, power failure at the CCT wednesday forced Justice Danladi Umar, chairman of the tribunal, to adjourn Saraki’s trial to April 18, 2016.

The power outage happened when Mr. Rotimi Jacobs (SAN), counsel to the federal government, was leading a prosecution witness, Mr. Michael Wetkas, in evidence.

Prior to the outage, Mr. Kanu Agabi (SAN), the lead counsel to Saraki, had pleaded with Umar for an adjournment, but the chairman of the tribunal refused, saying he was ready to continue with the case until 6 pm.
However, the blackout did the work for Agabi, as the outage compelled the chairman of the tribunal to adjourn the trial.

Before the lights went out, Wetkas, a detective of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), while continuing with his evidence which started on Tuesday against the Senate president, claimed he (Saraki) received monthly salaries from the Kwara State Government even after he had stepped down as governor and had become a senator.
Wetkas claimed that Saraki received monthly salaries from June 2011, when he left office as governor of the state, to August 2015 when he served as a senator.

The lingering fuel crisis, which is taking its drastic toll on Nigerians across the country, yesterday resulted in the death of two persons in Lagos when a female staff of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp (NSCDC) shot dead a boy, simply identified as Ikechukwu and another unidentified person at the AP Filling Station 21 Road, FESTAC Town.
The boy was alleged to have bought fuel in a jerry can and was going home when he was accosted by a team of Civil Defence officials, who arrested him.
The boy, who eyewitnesses say could be about 18-years-old, was said to have laid down on the road pleading with the officials to allow him go home as he was not a fuel hawker, but had just bought the fuel for personal use.
Eyewitnesses said the commander of the team, who felt the boy was resisting arrest, ordered a female official to shoot the “bastard” and the woman promptly obeyed and shot the boy.
On seeing the boy dying in a pool of blood, the Civil Defence corps zoomed off in their patrol van and fled from the scene, while shooting frantically into the air.
According to Mr. Samuel Udeh, “the environment was peaceful, we were at Forte Oil filling station maintaining a queue with our gallons at around 1:30p.m., when the Civil Defence officers came in. They dragged our gallons and started seizing it, including those who have bought. Some of us objected, including the deceased.
“They said they were on a special mission to wage war against black marketers. He refused to release his gallon and then poured his petrol on himself, saying it is better than giving it away to the civil defense people.
“To my greatest surprise, they started shooting and were not facing it up but were pointing their guns at people, which led to the killing of Ikechukwu. He was shot at three times, a bullet on his shoulder, throat and stomach. He died instantly. Others who were badly injured are Dero Okowope, Smart and K.B. The most annoying thing is that it was a lady officer that was shooting and carelessly killed Ike. Immediately, they ran away with their van and continued shooting to scare people away,” he narrated.

P-Square reunites, put family first

       

After weeks of drama which kept the social media abuzz with ranting tweet and comments, the Nigerian R&B acts, Peter and Paul Okoye of PSquare fame, are back together as a group.
Although, this is not the first time a disagreement between the musical twins would come to public notice, it was the first time any of the brothers would release solo singles. They had at the beginning of their separation five weeks ago took to their different Instagram pages, breathing heavily on each other’s neck.
Weekend Beat gathered that two female fans of the pop singers had cried profusely and posted a video on Youtube, begging the twins to come back as brothers and as a group to do what they know best, which gives a lot of people joy.
The Okoye brothers, perhaps, touched by the cry decided to heed to pleas of the fans and came back as a group. They took to their respective Instagram pages to inform the world that they are now back as a group. Their elder brother cum manager, Jude Engees Okoye, who, all through the drama was quiet, broke his silence by posting the same message on his own page.

Five members of the same family were charged with the murder of a prophet who had been called to their their home in the village of Mazonde, Zimbabwe to help them cleanse their house of evil spirits.

According to local newspaper, Zed 24 News, the accused family identified as Leanmore Mutero, Tonderai Muswere, Michael Muchengeti, Manasa Mutero and Nicholas Mutero, appeared at the High Court in Harare facing a murder charge for participating in the death of self-professed Prophet Shamiso Kanyama, who accidentally died during a healing ceremony.

Pastor Kanyama had reportedly asked his followers to bury him alive so that he could summon more cleansing powers to heal the family that had been plagued by mysterious deaths.
