How is promoting your music in Nigeria helping you blow up when you are based here in Europe and you are not even planning of going to Nigeria in the next two to three years.
Why are EU based Artists allowing people that knows nothing about music scam them in Nigeria??
Its Heart breaking to say the list,
Listening to so many EU based Artists trying to make it both in Nigeria and Europe, it a sorry state when i hear the amount most of them has poured into making music and yet they have not gotten anything in return, and many are in limbo not knowing what to do next after spending so much.
The amount of money those claiming to help them n Nigeria ask them to pay is heart breaking., why i agree that promotion cost money why ask someone to send you 300,000 to 500,00 Naira just to put your music on blog.
The story also goes that most EU and American based Artists send so much home to promote thier music and never get anything in return, even at the Alaba International market i was told the money they charge is so high that even the upcoming Artists cannot even afford it.
Yes Music promo cost money but please you all should stop sending money to scammers claiming to be bloggers and promoter.
Many EU based and American based Artists pay so much money to the promoters in Nigeria, and all they get is mere flyers which they will will eventually share themselves, never promoted by the Nigerian based promoters, many a times No links to show for it and even the thousands they pay to them in Nigeria to make Mixtape many times they never even get to see the link or even listen and get feed back from them.
We all must understand that no one is telling any Artist not to promote his or her music in Nigeria, the issue here is they should not allow them to be scammed, because many of this people just get fraustrated and some dont even want to do music anymore.
This write up is not intended to discourage anyone but to create awareness to all those living abroad to always verify first before sending money to anyone and let up when they insist you have to send the money immidaitely dont do it.
The work they claim to be doing for you, at the end you still end up doing it yourself, and the big question here is how is promoting your music in Nigeria helping you blow up when you are based here in Europe and you are not even planning of going to Nigeria in the next two to three year, if you must promote your music in Nigeria do it three to four months prior to you going to Nigeria, because you promoting yourself in absencia is not helping your music career instaed focus on Europr or America where you are based spend the money to promote yourself, get an audience base make yourself known here in Europe, who knows the Eu based promoters might just find you out and invest in you.
Do not be the fool be very smart.

Dominic Emene is a name related to the biggest Afro beats artists appearances in Scandinavia. except read from him his journey so far on Nigeria entertainment.

In 2016 Africanent.se met Dominic Emene at Timaya’s press gathering before his show. Dominic Emene is a name related to the biggest Afro beats artists appearances in Scandinavia.
That day the discreet man with a serious look came out to greet us, seducing a whole crowd of people with his calm presence, he gave the audience another successful show. Dominic Emene is from Nigeria, he came to Sweden in 1992. With a family in show business back in Nigeria, there is no coincidence he has become an ambassador of Afro beat artists coming to perform in Europe. We have an exclusive interview with the man behind the nightlife of the so called “African Parties” in Scandinavia. Making African entertainment available for all, Dominic Emene opens up about his story as a promotor in Sweden.
– 1994 I started the first R&B club called “Harlem Nites” at Fasching in Stockholm…I did it for a year, bringing hip-hop and R&B artists like Snopp Dogg, KC & Jojo, Redman. I was also working with Swedish record label company’s promoting American artists like Mary J Blidge.
The most memorable show was the Redman concert, it was very successful but at the same time I lost a lot of money bringing these artists, eventually I had to take a time out and start over. I did everything out of my own pocket. During a year I kept a low profile and worked with my own delivery company.
How did you come up with the concept Afrodance Sweden?
– One day the president of the Nigerian union in Sweden, asked me to organize their first Independence Day celebration party, I think it was back in 2012. I always saw myself working with social events, but not like that. Anyway, I accepted and it was a very successful night! People came out, not only from the Nigerian community, but also from other african countries and there was also Swedish people who came out to party. I invited an Afro beat DJ, the crowd enjoyed it! They party to Afro beat music for the first time. I said to myself, there is something here! A crowd of my generation, who wants to go out and have fun and listen to the Afro beat music.
People from the African community like myself, with a family and children still want to go out and have fun once and a wile. But they ...read more....
