INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY CELEBRATION @ THE HAGUE
12TH MARCH 2022
THEME:- The voice of African women in The Hague
OUR AIM:-
As United Nigerian Platform in the Netherlands ( UNP.NL ) we saw that the position of African /Nigerian women are underexposed and still experience many disadvantages in The Hague. This applies, for example, to economic independence (still a lot of poverty, unemployment, is predominant among women of African origin. Many rely on part-time jobs, not out of choice, but purely by circumstances). Therefore, social participation and visibility is necessary. That is why we decided to use the 12 March celebration in connection with the emancipation action program to put the position of African/ Nigerian women in The Hague on the map.
Objective
Through this event we want to put women of African/ Nigerian origin in The Hague on the map and reflect on their emancipation process, their challenges and opportunities.
