I believe in independency and hardwork, which is why I don't wait on my parents or depend on them for my everyday needs, read the whole story on Tafia world

My name is Jennifer Okuro Efemonghe, 20 years old and a student of banking and finance at the University of Benin, Benin city, Edo state, Nigeria.

I believe in independency and hardwork, which is why I don't wait on my parents or depend on them for my everyday needs which includes my school fees and bills, textbooks, course materials and my feeding.
I finished from secondary school by May 2016 and ever since then, I've been working as a sales girl at the popularly known market of Katangua which is situated along the Lagos- Ibadan express way , Abule egba, Lagos State of Nigeria, till right now 2021.
I would always pay half of every  exam fee while my parents would add the remaining half.
When I first gained admission into the University of Benin , my dad was at that time jobless. So I had to raise money for my fees but then my aunt paid my school fee so with the help of my mom and elder brother and of course myself I was able to raise the rest.

So when I came to school I looked for jobs I could do which would as well fit in to my school timetable. So I got a job as a part-timer at a dry-cleaning store where I was eventually sacked after the management said they don't have sufficient funds to pay every worker, and then I thought " I can't stay like this , no job, no money, how would I cope in school without money" ...because I was at that time squatting with a friend. So I went in search of jobs and I stumbled on a construction site which was at the backyard of where I was squatting.

At first ,the site engineer wouldn't let me work cause he felt that I wouldn't or couldn't do anything because I'm a girl. I persuaded and pleaded with him to allow me and he eventually did. So I was asked to resume the next day, which I did and was paid a sum of four thousand naira after carrying twelve headpans of sand, twelve headpans of granite, some buckets of water and over twenty headpans of concrete from the first floor to the third floor.
I was really happy that I got paid that much and so I kept going there until school resumed and I had to stop.
During one of the days at the site I took some pictures and posted them on my Twitter page and captioned it ' Aside being a student' , with the intention of showcasing my side hustle and non

The Funky 4feest broke record yesterday with over 1.5k view, first if its kind with EU artists on rotation, and Tafia world was there to cover it.

The most anticipated show of the year the funky 4 feest that featured some of the notables in the EU industry was a success.

The show saw talents yesterday with EU Artists going head to head with each  other.

The show saw Teddyziggy coming out with BBk as his personal deejay to rock the stage. And not forgetting the brilliant performance by UK based Artist Jet play.

Though there were some technical difficulties at the start but when it was fixed there was no going back.

Some EU artist came prepared while some took it as a child play and performed below average.

All in all the show was viewed by over 1.5k fans all over the world.

This show was put together by @Tty and djMarshal, and fans are already looking forward to volume 3

Some of the participants on the show yesterday night were

@Jetplay, Alex Idele, Akpos, Wakology, Two Tigers, Numero Domani, Sandi Moral, Geejay, Naxis DG, Alex Trophy and many others.

The performance from Alex Idele was the high light of the night her professionalism was second to none.

Advice to the orgnisers is they should be strict with their set rules because you cannot call a show feest and you see Artists coming to perform while sitting down and some were even playing their song through the TV, with poor quality. We must put some professionalism because we don’t know who is watching and who want to invest on it in the future.

We must accept criticism because its helps us to move forward.

I NEVER APPLIED OR RECEIVED GRANT IN HER NAME- Omoyele Sowore. na me go prison, Na another person chop my grant

I NEVER APPLIED OR RECEIVED GRANT IN HER NAME- Omoyele Sowore.

A RESPONSE: Oluwatosin Mhiztee Adeniji @callmerahila reached out to me earlier claiming a grant application was written in her name and I have confirmed to her that nothing of such existed. Further I volunteered to refund her if any grant was collected on her behalf without her knowledge without  prejudice to any further action she would like to take! Pls note that this response is not intended as an attack on Oluwatosin Adeniji @callmerahila, she’s been a committed member of our movt over these years and assisted me in the last two years in particular while I was unjustly detained and restricted to Abuja

Lastly, if anyone knows of any foundation that issued a grant on her behalf without her knowledge kindly reveal it to the public so that she can get her rightful entitlement. I never applied for or received any grants in her name or her behalf!

Again, I insist that I never applied for a grant in her name or received an approval for a grant in her name or collected a dime in her name.

OMOYELE SOWORE VS EDWARD ONOJA (DEPUTY GOVERNOR OF KOGI STATE) Read on Tafia world very interesting

OMOYELE SOWORE VS EDWARD ONOJA (DEPUTY GOVERNOR OF KOGI STATE)

Deputy Governor Edward Onoja of Kogi state tweeted on the graduation of his daughter from the university. As usual Yele Sowore picked it. Enjoy the prayer session between Yele Sowore and Edward Onoja

 *Yele to Onojoa*

#Freekogi2 I congratulate your daughter on this special occasion of her matriculation. May she never live in a world of impunity, may she never become unemployed upon graduation, may her future be bright and may she never have to work without getting paid, maybe her pension neverBe denied her when she retires, may she never be silenced for speaking up against tyranny and may she never die in election related violence! Once again, congratulations to her!

 *Edward Onoja to Yele Sowore*

Dear Sowore,

I thought families, especially, the children are out of bounds in political brickbats? Abi, your school of thoughtlessness does not teach sense and sensibility?

Anyway, I too have a prayer for you...

1. I pray that you are Nigerian and patriotic enough to stay at home, establish and have your family  here in Nigeria, just like I have done.

*(It will teach you to truly work for the improvement of the country for their sakes).*

2. I pray you are man enough to hustle with your mates, working to assume leadership of the Nation by paying your dues, and not trying to jump in through the window like a palliative thief.

3. I pray for you that you will truly come to love this great country and her people with a mindset to sacrifice for her and not to sacrifice her to your lust for power).

*(It will teach you that your contemporaries at home are not indolent layabouts looking for a saviour from abroad to whom they will handover govt once he wears an orange beret and yells 'revolution' or 'Buhari Must Go)*.

*(It will stop you from trying to set fire to your own father's house simply because you have a mat in your rich uncle's BQ who has induced you with peanuts in the name of activism so he can claim the land once the house is destroyed)*

4. I pray you have the balls to learn from some of us and begin your leadership quest from your State.

*(You will finally learn Leadership 101, not #gbasgbos and chewing gum activism. I recommend you start as councillor in your ward, if you know your ward)*

5. I pray you grow out of your desire to to seek attention and play to the gallery.

*(Leadership and Governance is not a circus, you know and a dancing monkey can only grab attention for only so long)*

6. I pray you redeem your already lost image amongst genuine freedom fighters.

*(Shebi you know say dem no send you again?).

7. I pray my daughter won't need to defend you pro bono when you are 70, still wearing beret, sagging trousers and still unable to distinguish between lawful and unlawful protest. Shebi you see the travails of your types wey invade US Congress in the name of revolution?).

Sowore this is brother to brother, comrade to comrade, Aluta to Aluta... guy e get wetin person dey grow pass. Leave this lane and get serious if you really want to do politics. You don old pass this thing.

Another brotherly advice: Find another target. Kogi is getting on very well and fine. This your contract don cut. Those who gave you this job, tell them say we be street pass you. E no get where you fit take your madness pass. We go cure am for you.

All of you unpatriotic citizens wey dey plan burn Naija after securing your families safely abroad, make una go restrategize.

I pray this sinks and leads you on the path to being a better man. Thus far you are way below the bar of a patriotic citizen.
