ORONSAYE TO FILE NO CASE SUBMISSION OVER ALLEGED N196m FRAUD...READ IT ALL ON TAFIA WORLD

 

A former Head of Service of the Federation (HoSF), Steve Oronsaye, has told a High Court of the FCT, Maitama, that he would file a no-case submission in the N196 million fraud charge brought against him by the Federal Government.
His lead counsel, Kanu Agabi, at the resumption of the case yesterday, informed the court of the no-case submission motion when the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) formally closed its case against him.
He said his client would file a no-case submission in respect of the charge since there was no direct link of his client to the alleged offence.

The Ekiti state government has rejected the Senate’s move to probe Federal Government’s bailout funds given to the state and others.
It said that such a probe was unconstitutional.

NNPC SET JANUARY 1 DEADLINE TO END $9 BILLION JV FUNDING...READ IT ALL ON TAFIA WORLD

 

With effect from January 1, 2017 the Federal Government will cease to fund the Joint Venture Cash Calls estimated at $9 billion yearly.
The Group Managing Director, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Dr. Maikanti Baru, made this known yesterday in Lagos at the yearly conference of the Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE) .
According to Baru, aside from the inherited arrears estimated at over $6 billion, the underfunding of NNPC Cash Calls is estimated to be about $2.5 billion in 2016 alone.
The corporation had adopted the same alternative funding of $1.2 billion multi-year drilling financing package for 36 oil wells under the NNPC and Chevron Nigeria Limited Joint Venture. The success of the NNPC/Chevron JV alternative funding may have compelled the...read it here...

The factional governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ondo State, Eyitayo Jegede (SAN), has warned the residents of the state to shun loaves of bread allegedly being distributed by some agents of the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN).
He alleged that the bread contained some chemical substances that could destroy the health of its consumers.
Jegede, who spoke in Akure through the Director of the Eyitayo Jegede Campaign Organisation, Kayode Fasua, disclosed that the “poisoned bread” had allegedly landed many of its consumers in hospitals.
