P-Square reunites, put family first

       

After weeks of drama which kept the social media abuzz with ranting tweet and comments, the Nigerian R&B acts, Peter and Paul Okoye of PSquare fame, are back together as a group.
Although, this is not the first time a disagreement between the musical twins would come to public notice, it was the first time any of the brothers would release solo singles. They had at the beginning of their separation five weeks ago took to their different Instagram pages, breathing heavily on each other’s neck.
Weekend Beat gathered that two female fans of the pop singers had cried profusely and posted a video on Youtube, begging the twins to come back as brothers and as a group to do what they know best, which gives a lot of people joy.
The Okoye brothers, perhaps, touched by the cry decided to heed to pleas of the fans and came back as a group. They took to their respective Instagram pages to inform the world that they are now back as a group. Their elder brother cum manager, Jude Engees Okoye, who, all through the drama was quiet, broke his silence by posting the same message on his own page.

Five members of the same family were charged with the murder of a prophet who had been called to their their home in the village of Mazonde, Zimbabwe to help them cleanse their house of evil spirits.

According to local newspaper, Zed 24 News, the accused family identified as Leanmore Mutero, Tonderai Muswere, Michael Muchengeti, Manasa Mutero and Nicholas Mutero, appeared at the High Court in Harare facing a murder charge for participating in the death of self-professed Prophet Shamiso Kanyama, who accidentally died during a healing ceremony.

Pastor Kanyama had reportedly asked his followers to bury him alive so that he could summon more cleansing powers to heal the family that had been plagued by mysterious deaths.

She has this amiable girl-next-door personality that is totally different from her glamourous outlook. In this interview she opens up on her love for music and talks about sex and love. How did you discover your music talent? I have always known that I can sing. My grandma made me join the choir. I was also part of the choir in secondary school. I never knew I was going to be a musician. I was just doing it based on compulsion because my parents forced me to go for rehearsals. In my final year in Imo State University, a friend who is a male artiste told me he needs a female flavour in his song. I initially told him I was not a singer, but gave in after much persuasion from him. He called me later to tell me people loved what I did on the song. He started advising me that I could actually go into music and give it a try. I took it serious about two years ago. Was there any objection from your parents when you told them about your love for music? My dad is a conservative Christian, so he wanted me to do gospel music. I am a church girl, but I didn’t want to do gospel because I don’t want people to be judging me. Imagine a situation whereby I do a gospel song dressed in a sexy outfit? People will definitely judge me. You know the way people judge pastors, forgetting that we are all humans. Now that I don’t do gospel music, I want people to be shocked when they see me do some spiritual things.

I traveled to Ghana immediately afterwards and I noticed on the plane people were just staring at me and I wondered why. Since it was a flight my phone was switched off and so I had no idea what was happening online. When I got to Ghana, I still got the same stare from people. I was asked by friends to switch on my phone and that was it. 300 calls from Dad, 600 calls from grandma, everyone one asking Davido what’s going on.” Davido claims the girl in question later called his ‘people’ to apologise but then the damage had already been done. He hopes such incidences never occur again as he maintains his resilience to finish his studies, face his music business and continue to be a role model to others.
