The UK leaving the EU is very likely to affect the global economy negatively. In May, the Governor of the Central Bank of Kenya, Patrick Njoroge, warned about the risks of the exit which he said will include increased volatility in the market. On Monday, stock markets around the world collapsed due to panic that Brexit would collapse the Eurozone.
However, it is worthy to note that this could add to the uncertainties that have affected the currencies of most African countries. The continent is suffering from the impact of fall in oil price, China’s economic slowdown as well as drop in the prices of commodity. The IMF has also reduced its projection for the continent from 3.4 percent to 3 percent. The largest economies in Africa are the worst hit by these uncertainties and countries like South Africa and Nigeria are already heading towards a recession.
According to the Brookings Institution, here are three ways this exit could affect Africa:
The end of British outwardness
Perhaps the biggest impact of the Brexit on Africa would be the end of British “outwardness.” This is the country’s concern with and response to global development issues which, from an African development perspective, reached its peak in 2005 with the UK presidency of the G8. At the G8 Summit in Scotland that year, leaders agreed to double aid to Africa and eliminate outstanding debts of the poorest countries. They made a deal to increase aid to developing countries by $50 billion a year by 2010 with at least half of this commitment going to Africa. Other commitments included increased support for African peacekeeping forces and additional investments in education and the fight against HIV/AIDS, malaria, tuberculosis and other diseases.

Google search data showed a spike in searches for "getting an Irish passport" from the UK.

Can you imagine !!! Even up till now Flavour never cared to apologize to his Swedish and German fans using any of his platforms rather he  is busy posting stupid video of his African tour via instagram ..  

   This needs to seriously stop . it is not fair for anyone to loose money because this artists can't be honest and say the truth that they don't actually have visa .

Eu based promoters should concentrate more on EU based Artists, deejay budetee told Tafia worl, that most of the EU based Artists have good music to rock the crowd and that the EU based promoters will do less and spend less when they concentrate on EU based Artists.


Many EU based promoters do show just for the name, the money they dont really get, many do shows after the show, the Artist they promote shine and smile why they leak thier wounds, they dont say it, but we know at least we live here in Europe.

Many of the Artists they bring from Nigeria only come to sing and play back on the music deejay is playing and at the end they pay them 5 to 6k for what??, for singing a song you can also play from your speakers.

Many EU promoters still dont know the game, they dont know the bussiness aspect of doing promo, and untill they get it right in less than three years from now they are going to be known as i used to!!!!!,  you know me now i used to!!!, dont believe all you see on Facebook, most of the shows and picture they share are all not what it is, many of the shows dont sell, many of the shows are floop.

why would an artists they claim to be promoting not promote the show in Nigeria, or even on social network, they dont do interview in Nigeria to annouce the so called show, when they are leaving Nigeria no press conference, when they come back no press conference, the promoters are not even recorgnised as show promoters in Nigeria, except on Facebook, is that the way to go???.

EU based promoters need to sit down and ask themselves this??, why am i in the bussiness, i have seen EU based Artists perform live on stage, and my heart bleed for them many of them got what its takes, they are all been written off because they live in Europe, and that is npot good, we must do what is right, and its never too late to make corrections, all this fighting within the show promoters all over Europe must stop, and untill one of the promoters take risk with EU based artists and promote them and see the gain, many will not turn around, we all know that Nigerian dont Always want to take risk, they wait for someone else to do it, and when its successfull the flood it, just like they are doing with award nights.

It was her history of nursing her child that lead the then single 36-year-old to think it could do wonders for intimacy with a romantic partner.
“When I read about the bond breastfeeding could create between two people, I was envious,” she told the NY Post. “I have always enjoyed my breasts being touched during sex more than anything else, so I knew I would enjoy it.”
As you might imagine, finding a man that was into ABR wasn’t initially all that easy.
“When I read about the pure joy it brought others, I was desperate to seek out a partner to share an emotional bond with,” she said. “I used dating sites, put messages on ABR forums and even put an advert on Craigslist, but I drew a blank. But after meeting 36-year-old Brad Leeson, Mulford brought up ABR and he was instantly intrigued.
“We both wanted the same thing out of the relationship — a magical bond that only breastfeeding can achieve.” So before long the two were inseparable.

She added: “At that moment I knew that I had a partner for life.”

“He was not ill at all, never showed any signs of illness, but we suspect he never got over the death of his wife,” a friend said.
He is survived by four children and his mother.
Keshi, the only Nigerian coach to have won the Africa Cup of Nations, achieved a rare feat in 2013 by becoming only the second person to win the trophy both as a player and a coach.
The only other person to have achieved the feat is Egypt’s Mahmoud El-Gohary.
Keshi, a product of St. Finbarr’s College, Akoka, Lagos, started his playing career at a very young age at ACB Football Club, and later played for New Nigeria Bank, Stade d’Abidjan, Africa Sports, Lokeren, Anderlecht, RC Strasbourg, and a host of other clubs.
He represented Nigeria from 1982, at age 20, till 1994, most of the time captaining the Super Eagles and scoring vital goals from his position as a central defender.
He also coached Togo and Nigeria at the World Cup, as well as Mali.
Keshi, nicknamed the “Big Boss” for his leadership skills, is the fifth member of the all-conquering 1994 team to die, following Uche Okafor, Thompson Oliha, Rashidi Yekini and Wilfred Agbonavbare.

Meanwhile, the family has released a statement announcing his death.
The statement signed by Emmanuel Ado was titled: “Stephen Keshi CON has gone to be with his wife”.
“With thanksgiving to God, the Ogbuenyi Fredrick Keshi family of Illah in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State, announces the death of Mr. Stephen Okechukwu Chinedu Keshi,” Ado wrote.
“Our son, brother, father, father-in-law,brother-in-law, has gone to be with his wife of 35 years (Nkem), Mrs. Kate Keshi, who passed on on the 9th December 2015.
“Since her death, Keshi has been in mourning. He came back to Nigeria to be with her. He had planned to fly back today Wednesday, before he suffered a cardiac arrest. He has found rest.
“We thank God for his life.
“We want to ask for understanding in this very difficult time for the family.”

A music/comedy show held and Terry G was not among the artiste billed to perform, he begged the organizers until he was told to perform for seven minutes, but he got on stage already tipsy and after about 18 minutes on stage insulting everyone, the organizers asked the DJ to play a different song by another artist, no sooner had the song began to play that Terry G descended on the DJ who was the head DJ of Jatt Incorporated. Beyond assault, The DJ sustained various degree of injury on his face, right in front of the Legendary Dj Jimmy Jatt. This type of violence and physical abuse is unacceptable. However, legal actions are on the way but after wide consultations and deliberations, the Deejays Association of Nigeria hereby place an 'EMBARGO' on all songs of Terry G, audio and video (including songs he featured in) indefinitely in all events, lounges, bar, radio and every other spot where it is the duty of a DJ to play music Nationwide.

A Malaysian teenager was sentenced to one year in jail on Tuesday over Facebook posts which insulted the royal family in a Southern state, the Deputy Public Prosecutor said.

Muhammad Shakri, 19, pleaded guilty to a 14 counts of insulting the Johor royal family on his Facebook page between March and April, before he was sentenced by Johor Bahru Sessions’s court.

The teenager was charged under the country’s multimedia law that forbids posting online content that annoys abuses, threatens, or harasses others, according the DPP, Azizah Mohamad.

The law carries a maximum penalty of up to one year imprisonment and/or a fine of up to 12,500 dollars.

Tragedy struck on Sunday as two postgraduate students of the University of Lagos drowned in the Elegushi Beach during the celebration of their friend’s birthday.

It was learnt that the deceased – Adesola Ogunmefun and Funmi Odusina – graduated from the Covenant University and were on the verge of bagging Master’s Degrees in International Law and Diplomacy from UNILAG.

PUNCH Metro gathered that the deceased and the host were having fun at the beach around 6pm when they were swept into the Atlantic Ocean.

Other visitors to the beach were said to have rescued them, but Ogunmefun died on the spot.

Odusina and the host, identified only as Bolu, were rushed to some private hospitals in the area, but were reportedly rejected. Odusina died on the way to the Lagos Island General Hospital, while Bolu was recuperating in the facility.

A friend of the deceased, Edward Onyemathi, said the deaths could have been avoided if adequate safety gadgets were provided at the beach.

He described the duo as brilliant, adding that their demise was a huge loss and painful.

The victim, who was said to be of Igbo extraction was accused of blasphemy during a religious argument at Wambai market.
The woman, who sells plastics at the local market was in the company of her husband when she was murdered.
Contacted, the Public Relations Officer of the Kano Police Command, DSP Musa Magaji, confirmed the incident.
He said  '' At about 4 30 pm, there was a disagreement between the murdered woman and some traders bordering on religion.
''The woman was said to have blasphemed Prophet Mohammed, which did not go down well with the mob.
He said, the woman whose named he didn't disclose, was in the company of her husband when the incident happened but the timely intervention of the police saved the husband, who was immediately whisked for safety.

Militants have attacked a military house boat at Ejere Junction, a creek in Warri South council area of Delta State, killing seven people, including two soldiers.

The killings have heightened the tension in the oil-rich Niger Delta where oil facilities have been attacked. Nigeria’s output has been badly affected.

The Nation gathered that five boats, loaded with heavily armed insurgents, stormed an isolated boat house, located inside the creek around Omadino, an Itsekiri community, at about 8:00pm and opened fire on the occupants, killing all those onboard, except a civilian, who reportedly died on the way to the hospital.

There was no claim of responsibility for the Wednesday attack.

A community source said the attack happened at about 8:00pm. He said all occupants of the boat, whom he thought to be soldiers, were killed.

  An army security house boat was attacked and all the security men inside were killed last night at Omadino, by pipeline, here. This happened around 8 in the evening,” he said.

Another source, from one of the military formations in Warri said those in the house boat were not all soldiers. There were civilians, who rendered various types of services aboard.

A military source from Warri, who confirmed the development, told The Nation that two soldiers and five civilians died in the attack. He said most of the men stationed at the house boat had gone on pipeline patrol when the attackers came.

According to the source, although outnumbered by the assailants, the soldiers who were left on the boat when the attackers came gave their best, ensuring that the assailants did not leave without a bloody nose.

He said: “The report is true. They came in five speed boats. They were many and, unfortunately, when they got there, some of the soldiers were on pipelines patrol. When the attackers got there, the man on sentry did his best, but, unfortunately, because of their number they opened fire to kill the civilians inside the house boat. There were four civilians and two soldiers, making six.

“The seventh person, who happened to be a civilian, was rushed to Oghara (the Delta State University Teaching Hospital). Getting to Oghara, they found out that the hospital was on strike. Before he could be rushed back to Warri, his situation had deteriorated. You know the distance between Warri and Oghara; that was how he gave up the ghost.

“Our people also got some of them down, but as they wouldn’t like to leave any of their casualties behind, we can’t ascertain, but the soldiers tried their best in reducing their number”, the source said.
